Mom's Pepper Steak sauté: 1/4 cup oil 1-2 green peppers (cut in chunks) 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1/2 tsp oregano Cover and steam 5 minutes. Transfer to large pot. heat and sauté: 1/4 cup butter 1 lb fresh mushrooms, washed and sliced. Sprinkle with garlic or garlic powder and sauté until mushroom liquid evaporates. Transfer to large pot also. heat and sauté: 1/4 cup butter 2 sirloin tip steads, cut in 1 1/2" pieces. Brown. add: 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 1/4 cup sherry 1 fresh tomato, cut in pieces. Cover and seam 5 minutes. Add 1-2 cut up tomatoes Add to large pot and heat through Serve with rice
