Mom's Spaghetti & Crab 2 cans crab meat 1 1/2 tsp oregano 1/4 cup sherry 1/4 cup salad oil 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 tbls parsley 2/3 cup chopped onion 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste 1 can (1 lb 3 oz) tomatoes, undrained 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper Slowly heat oil, sauté garlic, parsley and onion until tender - 5 minutes. Combine tomato paste with 1 cup water. Add to garlic mixture along with tomatoes, salt, pepper and oregano. Bring to boil. Simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally 45 minutes. Add crab meat and sherry. Simmer 15 minutes. Serve on buttered vermacelli.
