Mom's Vegetable And Barley Soup 1 lb cubed sirloin steak (or more) 1/2 cup rolled barley salt and pepper 2 chopped medium onions 3 sticks of sliced celery 2 pints canned tomatoes 1 drained can kerneled corn Brown steak in 2 tbls oil. Add enough water to cover. Simmer until tender, covered. Add barley, celery, onions, salt and pepper. Simmer 1 hour, covered. Add tomatoes and corn. Simmer 45 minutes.
