Mom's Rice With Herbs 3 tbls butter 1 medium onion, chopped 1 cup uncooked rice Sauté rice and onion in butter for 5 minutes. Add: 3/4 tsp basil 3/4 tsp marjoram 1/4 tsp thyme 1/4 tsp curry powder 1/2 tsp sage, ground 1/2 tsp salt 3 cups chicken broth or 3 tsp dry chicken boullion in 3 cups hot water. Cover and cook slowly 30 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
