Mom's Cheescake Squares

Melt: 1/3 cup butter
Add: 1/3 cup brown sugar
     1 cup flour
     1/2 cup chopped nuts

Mix together and reserve 1 cup of mixture.  Bake remaining
in 8x8" square pan, press mixtured down slightly, 350° 12-15
minutes.

Mix together:
   8 oz softened cream cheese
   1/4 cup sugar

Add:
   1 beaten egg
   2 tbls milk
   1 tbls lemon juice
   1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Pour over baked crust.  Sprinkle with reserved crumbs.  Bake
350° 25 minutes.

Will cut better when allowed to cool for several hours.
